It helped propel Swift to the heights of fame. Her popularity only increased through her subsequent three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and saw her move confidently into the realm of pop where she already belonged. It was not long before she altered her plan with 2020's pared-down siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
